Social Media Greening the World

diane rinaldo, 03/27/2008

a good launch article might be how social media is used to make the world better. For instance Freecycle is my favorite site of the day. People give away stuff to others in their ‘hood. I’m interested in how social networks can be visualized or modelled (by node, by branched connections, by volume, and so on), and what software can help realize this.

Are certain people ‘supernodes?’ Do supernodes have a natural proximity to each other or perhaps a natural repulsion? What would that look like graphically?
